The project consists of a new single-story clubhouse and amenity center in the Arborwood Community of Fort Myers. The buildings provide multiple enclosed spaces for fitness, gathering, dining, administration, etc. and a full kitchen component. The Spanish Colonial style complex includes +/- 15,250 sq. ft. of enclosed, air conditioned space, connected by 8,000 sq. ft. of open walkways and covered dining. The unique ?village? style design features four separate buildings distributed in three separate pods. The southernmost building houses the fitness and yoga studios and the office of the fitness director. Adjacent to that are the locker rooms, mail center, and a commercial kitchen connected to upscale outdoor dining. Then central building is home to the activity center which offers craft, card, and library spaces, a caf?, and the administrative offices. After passing through a spacious portico/logia one encounters the final building in the complex which contains the formal dining/function space and an intimate theatre.
The warm Spanish Style architectural theme features inviting sheltered walkways connecting each building. The abundant protected outdoor spaces invite leisurely circulation and provide a connection to nature. Traditional materials, colors, and detailing including tile roofs, heavily textured stucco walls, arched openings, and simulated wrought iron trim complete the hacienda illusion.
