The Bimini Bay Restaurant is located in the Bimini Square development on well suited premises. The southern exposure of the dining and deck areas offer spectacular vistas out over the Bimini Basin and surrounding lands. The project was executed in strict conformance with City of Cape Coral Land Development regulations and Cape Coral City Council PUD deign/review processes. The plan includes pick up/drop off passage for vehicles, limited street parking, and a generous paved outdoor promenade with docking facilities for several watercraft of various sizes.

The design of the restaurant is a contextually guided single story coastal in stucco, with a stone water table and patio base accessorized with stainless cable handrail systems. Southern fenestrations are deeply shaded and the metal roof is punctuated by blind window dormers. The building capitalizes on the water frontage with its longitudinal orientation, which is bisected by a strong transverse roof over which forms both a street facing porte cochere and a generous water front portico. The interior reflects this arrangement with a transverse vault over the centrally located entrance and bar, with lower drop ceilings throughout the balance of the seating areas.

The served area consists of indoor tables, bar, and banquette seating for 110 patrons. The patio holds (20) 4 top tables for an additional 80 diners, and a separate covered, open dining area accommodates another 22 seats. Public and private areas were thoughtfully arranged to provide subtle indicators for expected appropriate usage.

The complete design was a successful collaboration between the owner, GMA Architects, and specialty consultants from Civil, MEP, Interior Design, Landscape Design, and Kitchen disciplines.
