Fetch Specialty & Cancer Veterinary Centers are family-owned, emergency and specialty veterinary hospitals that have offered advanced and focused veterinary services to their clients and referring veterinarians in Southwest Florida since 2016. They recently expanded into their third location in an existing 7,500 ft² free standing building in Bradenton, FL.
Having been previously occupied by a medical office, some of the interior spaces originally designed for highly technical imaging equipment could be reused. The balance of the interior was renovated to meet the unique needs of Fetch. In addition to the typical office and common spaces, the final floor plan includes 5 exam rooms, full-service ICU, 2 surgery suites, chemotherapy suite, 16-slice helical CT, color flow ultrasonography, video endoscopy/bronchoscopy, digital radiography and radiation therapy.
The exterior of the building was dated and did not present the vibrant, modern image of the Fetch brand. A large, curved glass block wall near the entry was the only source for light entering the building. This out-of-date feature was removed and additional punched openings were provided in the facade. The existing brick exterior sheathing was covered with new patterned stucco, projecting and angular feature details were added, and a bright coat of paint applied. Modern Bahama style sunshades complete the contemporary transformation.
