The new Fort Myers Beach Station No. 33 is strategically placed to expand services and improve response times to the southern end of Estero Island.
Station No. 33 provides living quarters for five fire and EMS personnel, as well as three apparatus bays.
The architectural design reflects the island style which has evolved through the years in this beachfront community. It includes standing seam metal roofing as well as clapboard siding. Apparatus bay daylighting will be provided by strategically placed glass block panels along the west wall. This will allow a generous amount of working light thus reducing the consumption of electricity.
