The existing clubhouse at Hunters Ridge Golf & Tennis Club in Bonita Springs had become dated and inefficient. Two areas in particular, the locker rooms and the main dining/multi-function room were problematic. The Project included renovation and reconfiguration of the existing men?s and women?s locker room area, eliminating unused card rooms and creating informal lounging and activity space. The greatest transformation occurred in the main dining room. Ceilings were raised and replaced with a floating ?cloud? system creating a bigger more open feel. The south wall was relocated adding approximately 750 sq. ft. of new floor area and providing open access to the adjacent brick patio via a glazed folding wall panel system. New construction of 1,230 sq. ft. of ancillary space on the west end of the building added much needed storage, provided convenient access to new toilet rooms, and added a service bar to serve the adjacent outdoor patio. A small addition and reconfiguration of the kitchen greatly increased internal circulation and improved workflow in that area.
The ancillary wing addition and dining room expansion required removal and replacement of existing trusses and reroofing of the disturbed area including removal and replacement of roof structure and roof membrane and tiles from above dining room and small portion of the kitchen. All existing duct work and HVAC equipment in dining room was upgraded including major renovations to the kitchen mechanical systems. Replacement of existing fire suppression system was completed as part of the renovation. All existing exterior windows were replaced with energy efficient, impact resistant glazing.
