The MarineMax at Deep Lagoon project is the first of a series of upgrades that Marine Max Fort Myers is implementing to enhance the service and customer experience at the facility. Overlooking a main floating dock and boating channel, the building actually houses two separate 1,000 square foot spaces under one roof connected by an open breezeway and covered verandah.
The east portion of the building serves as the Dock Master headquarters and also provides publicly accessible toilet facilities. The Dock Master controls all boat traffic in and out of the marina and oversees the newly expanded fuel dock. It additionally functions as a ?Ships Store? for last minute boating essentials.
The west building contains the Members Lounge where MarinrMax members can relax and interact. There are indoor and outdoor tables suitable for relaxing and dining ashore and a large screen television to keep up on current spotting events. Two large changing/toilet rooms complete with showers are also available for members? use.
The architecture complements the Florida Island Style and carries on the nautical theme established by the rest of the marina campus. The color palette and style are simple and inviting providing a comfortable experience. Large windows offer an enhanced view to the adjacent waterway and passing boat traffic.
The site presented the typical challenges associated with coastal construction permitting and runoff management. Constant monitoring and maintenance of containment systems resulted in a violation free project.
