North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District Headquarters and Station 14.
North Collier Fire District serves an area of Collier County that has experienced a substantial growth in population. The plan of this facility is for the district?s headquarters and a new station to better serve the community and plan for future needs.
The headquarters, at 7,615 square feet, provides administration and fire prevention offices. Adjacent spaces for conferencing and plan reviews are readily accessible from these offices. A meeting room is provided for staff training and for briefing the fire fighters on duty. This meeting room can also serve as a command center to direct personnel in the event of an emergency such as a storm.
Station 14 provides living quarters for up to 12 fire and rescue personnel complete with dayroom, kitchen and exercise room. The apparatus bay features three drive through bays with access to supply and equipment storage. Overall square footage of the station is 11,731 square feet.
Grouping the building program by functions and utilizing residential components and details, this facility becomes an integral part of the residential neighborhood while maintaining a presence as an emergency service facility.
