The Shops at Del Sol are an assemblage of 12 retail shells presented as a single structure resembling a modern, palatial manor house. A large terraced central element is flanked on either side by asymmetrical length galleries. The galleries are balanced by asymmetrical width terminal wings. The entirety is regulated via pilasters, windows and expansion joints in the stucco.
The sides of the wings are similarly appointed, having a continual water table and occasional plinths, and flat shade awnings over the glass. The rear of the building is sparser, having privacy trellises and awnings over service areas and varied stucco control joint orientations. The extended horizontals, clean surfaces and tall entrances below covered porches lend a strong formal aspect to the presentation.
