The building massing is stepped up from the ends, where more private functions occur, to semiprivate areas, culminating in the public lobby space with its arched roof, clad in standing seam metal.
The use of the precast concrete truss/beams served long span structural requirements and created a recurring theme of square punched openings which were used throughout the detailing of the building. The detail of the truss beam resting on precast and formed-in-place columns was emphasized inside the building and our with the use of heavy and light texture blown-on-stucco. The detail is further repeated in the built in lobby/banking furnishings.
The interior of the building features a sweeping two-story high ceiling of pickled tongue and groove decking over glue laminated arches, resting atop the precast concrete truss beams. The punched openings of the truss beams allow daylight to bathe the lobby floor below. The dominant interior finishes are wood, stone and fabric.
